June 10th-14th

New Mexico Tech is excited to announce the first Teacher Summer STEM Experience (TSSE). Offering an educational experience for Teachers interested in bringing hands-on engineering and programming to the classroom, TSSE combines skills development and lesson planning in a weeklong course structure.
Lasting one week, the sessions focus the design and build components for classroom accessible competitions and experiential learning.
Teachers will learn the basics of Arduino while collaborating with NMT professors and researchers to incorporate mechanical engineering concepts into the classroom.
Registration opens on 1/1/24.
Educational Arduino Project Development (June 10-14 2024)
This course is an introduction to basic Arduino circuit and coding projects. This course will cover developing and following wiring diagrams, the basic structure and functions within Arduino coding, writing pseudo code, and turning that framework into a working code. Teachers in the class will work through implementing a series of Arduino projects and activities. And the course will conclude with applying what we learned to developing and structuring a class project for your own students specific to your understanding of their skill and interests.
